This course offers a survey of the foundations of the education field and the core values of the M.Ed. program.

HTH 210

 

In this course, participants deepen their understanding and skills in instructional design and leadership by connecting the theoretical underpinnings of constructivist learning with issues of design, assessment, ownership, and exhibition.

HTH 235

This course provides an overview of the broad scope of issues involved in creating a school from scratch.
 

HTH 250

This course investigates protected rights for both students and teachers and how these influence school leadership decisions, school design, school culture, and the student experience with a focus on equity in practice.

HTH 300

Inquiry into Practice

 

This course explores the different types of research and resources available to teacher researchers, and to any educator who wishes to improve his/her practice.

HTH 205

This course explores the implications of culture—particularly the relation between “home culture” and “school

culture”—for teaching and learning.

This course explores how change happens in schools, and the informal and formal roles that teacher leaders and school leaders play in school change efforts.

HTH 245

This course provides students with insight into both the political aspects of school finance and the practical application of best practices to managing school budgets.

Master's Research

This capstone project pursued an inquiry that addressed a need at the school site and allowed us to investigage a passion or interest.

Leadership Fieldwork

The fieldwork courses support students’ learning as residents in school leadership at one of the 12 High Tech High (HTH) clinical sites.
